Amber Benson bio

Amber Benson is a talented American actress who has worked as a writer, singer as well as director and producer. Most famously, she is best known for her role in the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer as Tara Maclay. She also was the director, producer and star in her own film Chance and Lovers Liars & Lunatics. She also acted as the bride in the Kiss the Bride movie. Benson was born on the 8th of January, 1977 Birmingham Alabama, daughter of Diane Benson and Edward Benson psychiatrist. Benson has a younger sister Danielle and works as an artist. The father of Benson was Jewish while her mother was Southern Baptist raised by Southern Baptist parents. She grew up going to the Reform church in Alabama. Since Buffy was cancelled, Benson was in films including The Killing Jar and on shows such as Morganville The Series. Benson also utilised her talents in writing for the Ghosts of Albion Series and was the director of Drones in the year 2010. Buffy says that she took the time to count and find the Slayers, she discovered around 1800 Slayers around the globe, of which 500 are associated to The Scooby Gang. Slayers can now be awakened as they reach their age. Soledad, for example was awakened when she turned sixteen. Ruth Connell has been cast as Rowena for the upcoming season of 10 Supernatural. It is believed that Rowena was a witch of the ancient past.
