Lucy Liu (born Lucy Liu) is an American voice actor as well as a director producer and singer. An attractive, clever and skilled actress, she is an model for Asian actors aspiring to make it big in Hollywood. The early successes of her were boosted by her appearance on some of the most popular TV show. There, she portrayed the villainous Ling Woo. After her popularity, she was offered significant parts in Shanghai Noon (1998) and Charlie's Angels (2000). The actress also gave an amazing performance in the role of Japanese criminal O'Ren Ishii, in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Volume 1. In addition, she played lead roles in box office failures like Rise: Blood Hunter. Later, she became a voice actress for animated movies, such as Kung Fu Panda. Mia Mason's role on Cashmere Mafia, a small screen production, didn't bring about the positive results. The role she played in the critically-acclaimed police drama Southland has helped her regain recognition as an established actress. Liu picks her roles wisely so that she doesn't become a typecast character in such a competitive field. She's taken on her Chinese heritage however she has not let them hinder her creative abilities.
